The opening ceremony of the festival was attended by the star Hussein Fahmy, the star Laila Elwi, the writer Medhat El Adl, the critic Ahmed Shawky, the artist Samer El Masry, the journalist Bossi Shalaby, the journalist Raya Abi Rashid, the child Jean Ramez, the Emirati actor Tariq Al Ali, the Emirati star Habib Ghuloum, the Emirati artist Ahmed Al Jasmi, and the Emirati artist Amal Abdo.
The following were attended by: Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of the Festival, Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Government Relations in the Emirate of Sharjah, and Sheikh Salem bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority.
The Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth, in its tenth session, will be held from October 22 to 28.
During its tenth session, the festival will present 81 films from 37 countries in the world, including cinematic screenings from countries participating for the first time in the event.
