“I beg the President to take action on the matter”: lawyer for family victim of attack in Tirúa | National

“The life and physical and mental integrity of the people I represent are in constant danger,” said the lawyer for the family who was the victim of an arson attack on Wednesday night in Tirúa, in the Bío Bío region. Remberto Valdés asked President Gabriel Boric to take measures to generate dialogue and peace in the province of Arauco.

The lawyer of the family victim of the arson attack that destroyed his employer’s house this Wednesday night in Tirúa, confirmed that they will present a lawsuit and summoned President Gabriel Boric to “take action on the matter.”

The incident occurred at the Los Ajos estate, in the Quinquilco sector, and affected the property owned by the Sepúlveda familywhich for years has been the victim of robberies and threats after recovering said land by judicial means.

In a conversation with Radio Bío Bío, the lawyer Remberto Valdés reported that the firm In 17 years, it has filed more than a dozen criminal complaints and protection actions to obtain the restitution of the lands.however, they are again victims of an attack.

He explained that the destroyed house is more than 100 years old and the fire destroyed all the family’s memories. He added that for 17 years they have won all the legal actions to recover the Rule of Law, but without obtaining results. “It is a pathetic and chaotic question that the State of Chile cannot respond to people who work.”

Confirms complaint after house burning

The lawyer confirmed that they will file a criminal complaint again after the attack that consumed the family property.

“Let’s do what everyone says, We are going to file a criminal complaint, number 13 or 14, to salute the flag. I assure you that here we are not going to have those responsible, guilty and those lands are lost due to the inactivity of the State”, he deepened.

“What I ask President (Gabriel) Boric is that he can take action on the matterthat he applies all the political knowledge that his government team has and that he can find a place for dialogue and peace for this entire area”, he concluded.
