In his new documentary Hulu“Life in Pink”, le rocker Machine Gun Kelly detailed a dark night in July 2020 as he mourned his father. The latter died on the day of the first anniversary of the release of his album “Hotel Diablo“.
“I didn’t want to leave my room and I started getting really, really, really dark. Megan went to Bulgaria to shoot a movie and I started having this really crazy paranoia. I kept thinking someone was gonna come kill me“, remember NSC.
Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, added that he always slept with a shotgun next to his bed and “cracked” that day.
“I called Megan. I told him : ‘Tu you’re not here for moi’. I was in my room and I was freaking her out. I put the gun in my mouth. I scream into the phone and the barrel is in my mouth. I’m going to cock the rifle and the bullet, on the way back, got stuck. Megan said nothing more.“
The 32-year-old said that was when he realized that “something is wrong“.
“I needed to get off the drugs for bon this time“, he said, although he did not say if he was on drugs during the incident.
Le rocker has been open about working on his battle with addiction and mental health issues, saying in 2020: “Currently, my drug of choice is happiness and commitment to the art, rather than commitment to a vice that I thought was making the art. I take action.“
