Today, Monday (15.04.24), SYRIZA returned to the issue of the homophobic comment of the New Democracy MP Dimitris Kyriazidis about Stefanos Kasselakis through the party’s press representative Voula Kehagia.
With her new statement, Voula Kehagia calls for the dismissal of New Democracy MP Dimitris Kyriazidis in the shadow of the homophobic statements about Mr. Kasselakis.
“Mr. Mitsotakis believes that due to the flare-up in the Middle East, the matter that was created with the vulgar statements of the deputy of Drama of the New Democracy, Mr. Kyriazidis, will be forgotten”, underlines Voula Kehagia in her statement.
And he continues: “If he doesn’t expel his MP today, then we understand that he shares his homophobic views.”
It is recalled that the Member of Parliament for Drama, speaking to the TV station “STAR of North Greece”, made a homophobic comment about the article with which he should have referred to Stefanos Kasselakis, saying “the or the”.
In fact, when the presenter of the show, where Dimitris Kyriazidis was present, hastened to emphasize that we should respect each person’s wishes, he said: “we must respect each other”, with Koumoundourou mockingly commenting on the ND MP’s slip of the tongue .
