The managers of the Speedway gas station in Illinois want the winner of the $1.337 million Mega Millions drawing appears, since they are creditors of $500,000 for supplying the winning ticket.
And the person who matched all six jackpot numbers in the drawing on July 29does not face, the process to collect the commission for the sale, is complicated.
In the case of Illinois, merchants that sell a jackpot-winning ticket earn 1% in funds. For Scratch-Off prizes, up to $500,000.
The jackpot winner has less than a month left to claim the money as a single payment, if that is the option they choose.
Illinois Lottery rules further provide that selecting that alternative, the person has 60 days or about two months to go to the offices of the entity and complete the process.
In the opposite case, the player has one year to identify himself to the authorities for 29 annual payments corresponding to the third largest prize sold in the United States.
In ticket it was bought at the gas station on East Touhy Avenue in Des Plaines.
The winning numbers of the drawing were: 13-36-45-57-67, and the Mega Ball, 14.
Lottery officials believe that the lucky person may not know that they have won the jackpot, so they urged citizens who bought tickets for the lottery to examine their numbers.
