Bogotá, Mar 12 (EFE).- The American group Imagine Dragons made Bogotá enjoy this Sunday by delighting their followers with a repertoire in which they combined recent songs without neglecting the oldest.
Overcoming the problems of its vocalist Dan Reynolds, affected by complications of his vocal cords, the group arrived in Colombia as part of the “Mercury World Tour”.
The musical downloads were followed by loud, loud applause and shouts that corroborated that in the recent works “Mercury Act 1 & Act 2” the band spared nothing to transmit torrents of emotions to the demanding public.
Time was short for Dan Reynolds (vocals), Ben Mckee (bassist) and Daniel Wayne (guitarist) to display at the Coliseo Live the creations that launched them to fame in 2008 and that keep them current.
The opening act was the Colombian Lika Nova, an alternative rock band that stands out for its strength in the guitars and synthesizers to which they unite lyrics with deep poetics.
Luis Rojas, the vocalist of the group that has already performed in Mexico and Peru, told reporters before the concert that being the opening act is a dream come true.
He acknowledged that although Imagine Dragons is not part of Lika Nova’s influences, he feels certain coincidences in the style of some of their songs.
The group opened the night with “Don’t let me fall” which was followed by “Corriente”, while for the third, Rojas asked the public to turn on the lights on their cell phones to accompany the single “Unprepared”, to which the public did not he hesitated to answer.
What’s next for them is the Estéreo Picnic, which this year will take place from March 23 to 26 at the Briceño Golf Club, near Bogotá.

The rain and cold this weekend in Bogotá did not matter. As soon as the band from Las Vegas took the stage, the fans took it upon themselves to raise the temperature on stage.
Songs like «Enemy», «My life», and «Birds» were received with applause and the choruses of the public did not wait, all in the midst of iridescent lights arranged for the occasion.
“We are happy to see them after several months of waiting, for which they canceled the previous tour, we are very excited to see them and it is also the first time that I bring my children to a concert,” Sabrina, who went to the concert, told EFE. accompanied by her husband and children who also declared themselves “very happy to see Imagine Dragons.”
On another side of the stage, a group of fans of the group shouted at the top of their voices “yes it was possible, it was possible”, alluding to the fact that the concert that was planned for last year could finally be held.
The evening went further with songs like “Beliver” and “Thunder”, among others, until completing almost two hours of a night that seems unforgettable for lovers of pure rock.
“Over 10 years ago we met, thank you for sticking with us, thank you for walking with us,” said frontman Reynolds.
In the end, the audience vacated the stage chanting other Imagine Dragons hits, which confirmed the reasons why they are considered one of the best bands in the world.
