The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued a statement saying: “On the occasion of the forty-fifth anniversary of the disappearance of Imam Musa al-Sadr and his two companions, a speech festival will be held at 18:00 tomorrow afternoon, Thursday 8-31-2023, in the square opposite to TV. “NBN” – The Suite.

He added, “Therefore, as of 13:00 of the aforementioned date, the following traffic measures will be taken: preventing traffic starting from the Karami / Salam intersection, and the UNESCO / Salam intersection, and diverting it towards the Rashideen / Al Mazraa Corniche intersection. Traffic is prohibited at all intersections leading to Fakhr El Din Street from Karami / Salam intersection to Bin Zayed Roundabout.

And the statement continued, “Diverting traffic at Bin Zayed Roundabout, and preventing traffic towards the “Summerland” Hotel. Diverting traffic coming from Wata Al-Musaitbeh / Al-Agouz station towards the Al-Rashideen / Salam intersection. And diverting the traffic starting from the Ministry of Education roundabout towards the Rashideen / Salam intersection.

And the statement continued, “Diverting traffic starting from De Gaulle Avenue towards Saeb Salam Tunnel, preventing traffic towards Ramlet Al-Bayda and the Karami / Salam intersection. Diverting traffic starting from Ghana / Al-Assad intersection towards Airport Road, and preventing traffic towards the BHV.”

And he added, “Removing cars and preventing them from parking on both sides of Fakhr El-Din Street. Isolating the Marriott tunnel.”

The statement concluded, “The honorable citizens are requested to take note and adhere to the directives and instructions of the Internal Security Forces, in order to facilitate traffic and prevent congestion.”
