The Office of Immigrant Affairs (OIA) helps immigrants integrate into the community and promotes economic development within immigrant communities in Detroit. The OIA works to support new and existing immigrant residents and communities by creating programs and ensuring access to resources and programs. In collaboration with federal, state, and local government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders, the OIA fosters efforts to make Detroit a welcoming city for both immigrants and current residents.
