Given the increase in traffic in the direction of Mont-Saint-Guibert, Louvain-la-Neuve and the E411, the Walloon Brabant roads department of the SPW has introduced, as planned in the Region’s mobility and infrastructure plan , an application for planning permission. The objective is to redevelop the intersections of exit N25 and N238 by creating a second band. Today, users coming from Genappe and Nivelles and wishing to exit at the height of the new Jaurdinia park in order to take the N238 in the direction of Louvain-la-Neuve and Wavre cross the road of those coming from rue des Mélèzes and going up on the N25 after crossing the roundabout facing the American multinational Yakima Chief.
“At this place, the crossing of these vehicles is dangerous, underlines Julien Breuer, mayor of Mont-Saint-Guibert. Not to mention the queues which sometimes go up on the N25 in the morning given the number of vehicles entering Louvain-la-Neuve, even if today the situation seems to have evolved favorably since the entry into service of the new Trois Burettes exit a few hundred meters further in the direction of the Windsurfing roundabout.”
The public inquiry begins on July 30 and ends on September 14. “While the urban plans have already been drawn up, the technical plans have yet to be finalized”, specifies Jean-Marc Jadot, director of the Roads Department of Walloon Brabant, who specifies that the works will be carried out in 2024.
