Kasaragod: Young woman set on fire by her husband. Her husband Pradeepan set fire to the medical shop in Cheruvathur where the woman works.
Binisha was admitted to the hospital with severe burns on her hands and face. Pradeepan was taken into police custody. The incident happened on Saturday afternoon. Due to marital problems, both of them have been living apart for a few days now. Following this, the police informed that Pradeepan attacked his wife.
VR in Cheruvathur. Binisha works in a medical shop. Pradeepan reached the medical shop around 1 pm on Saturday and got into a verbal argument with his wife. After that, he poured petrol on his wife’s body and set her on fire.
Binisha was the only one present in the institution at the time of the incident. A few medicines and furniture in the shop were burnt.
