In Yekaterinburg, at the Uralets stadium, the next match of the Fonbet Championship of the KHL season 2022/2023 ended, in which the local Avtomobilist hosted Dynamo Minsk. The meeting ended with the victory of the hosts with a score of 5:3 (1:1, 0:2, 4:0).
Thanks to this success, the Yekaterinburg team scored 77 points after 61 matches. According to official telegram channel of the KHL, Avtomobilist officially qualified for the playoffs. Wards of Nikolay Zavarukhin became the third team of the Eastern Conference to secure participation in the Gagarin Cup. In addition, Avtomobilist is the eighth team participating in the 2023 playoffs out of 16.
In the West, places have already been provided by SKA, Lokomotiv, CSKA, Torpedo and Dynamo Moscow. In the East – Ak Bars, Sibir, and now Avtomobilist.
