Al-Marsad newspaper: The family doctor, Dr. Saud Al-Shehri, revealed the extent of the impact of noise and loud noises on the health of adults as well as children.
Al-Shehri said that annually in Europe 48,000 new cases of heart disease are caused by noise, according to a Harvard University report.
He added that Harvard University confirmed in its report that noise and disturbance may exacerbate cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, sleep disorders, stress, and poor mental health and cognition.
Al-Shehri continued that noise causes poor memory and attention, other than that it leads to a delay in learning in children, and affects the fetus in its mother’s womb, causing a decrease in its weight.
