Incheon man sentenced to 22 years in prison

The court sentenced a man in his 40s to 22 years in prison for wielding a knife at a neighboring family in Incheon due to noise between floors.

The 13th Criminal Division of the Incheon District Court sentenced a 49-year-old man who was handed over to trial on charges of attempted murder at the sentencing hearing today and ordered him to wear a location tracking electronic device for 10 years.

The court said, “All of the accused’s murders were unsuccessful, but one victim suffered fatal injuries to the neck, and the results were disastrous,” the court said. I did.

The court also explained the reason for the sentencing, saying, “The defendant acknowledged the facts, reflected on it, and took into account the fact that he had no history of being sentenced to more than a fine.”

Earlier, the prosecution requested a 30-year prison sentence for the man at a decision trial last month.

The man was arrested on the 3rd floor of a villa in Namdong-gu, Incheon in November last year, and was charged with trying to kill three members of the family, including a woman in her 40s and her daughter, who had a conflict due to noise between floors.

Two police officers who were dispatched to the scene at the time were dismissed for poor response, and were charged with negligence and handed over to the prosecution.
