Al-Marsad newspaper: Consultant of Obesity and Family Medicine, Dr. Saleh Al-Rajhi, said that sugar-free soft drinks “Diet” affect the pancreas and cause an addiction to sugars.
Al-Rajhi added, during his speech to Al-Ekhbariya channel, that the pancreas tastes sweets such as the tongue, as well as the stomach and intestines taste artificial sugar, which negatively affects the pancreas.
He added that the addiction to sugars causes many diseases, including “tumors and cancer”, adding: “A person can only get rid of sugars with medical help.”
A consultant in obesity and family medicine concluded his speech that calorie consumption results in 242 human diseases.
