Tel Aviv: Researchers at the Weizmann Institute in Israel have created a 14-day-old human embryo model (synthetic embryo) without the help of a sperm, egg or uterus.

The embryo model is created from stem cells in the laboratory. It has all the characteristics of a 14-day-old human embryo, including the placenta, yolk sac, and external cells that support growth. The artificial embryo also released hormones that made the pregnancy test result positive.

Researcher Prof. Prof. Jacob Hanna says.

Researchers have previously developed artificial human embryos in a similar manner. Last June, researchers at the University of Cambridge and the California Institute of Technology claimed to have created an artificial human embryo from stem cells.
