Intel Arc: desktop graphics cards postponed?

Yesterday we were dealing with the subject on a benchmark that appeared on Geekbench concerning the graphics card Intel Arc A770. Today we discover via Wccftech new information published by “ Enthusiastic Citizen who have already in the past shared confidential and precise information ofIntel. Concretely, the latter indicates that there would be a delay in Intel’s plans for the launch of graphics cards for desktop PCs. This delay could reach the end of the second trimester or even the beginning of the third. Also, remember that Intel only confirmed the “Limited Edition” card this summer. There is no mention of the whole range, but of a specific card.

After all, as we can already see for laptops, Intel’s GPUs may have been officially available for two weeks, but there is only one country where these products are actually available at the moment.

The Intel Arc A770 graphics card, 16 or 12 GB of memory? We do not know

Specifically, according to Enthusiastic CitizenIntel could launch four desktop graphics cards with the Arc A770, A750, A580 et A380. the Arc A770 being equivalent in performance to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. A fifth card could be present, perhaps with the Arc A780. But there, the information is quite vague, because yesterday we saw via Geekbench an Arc A770 with 12.7 GB of recognized memory. So it is expected that it has 16 GB and part of the memory was allocated to other resources. Except that in the information we have here we are told that the A770 would have 12 GB of memory and the possible A780 16 GB. In short, it’s a mess and the information we have is not correct. The famous Limited Edition card could either be an A780 with 16 GB of memory, or an A770 with 16 GB of memory. The “normal” Arc A770s could then have 12 GB of memory.

We also learn that the Arc A750 could use 448 Compute Units (3584 FP32 cores). L’A580 would use 8 GB of GDDR6 type memory and the slowest card, theA380would be equivalent in performance to an AMD Radeon RX 6400.
