Israeli attacks hit a number of places in Gaza, including Rafah. This Zionist military action was accompanied by an order for the refugees to leave Rafah.

The UN has warned of a very terrible disaster if Israel continues its direct invasion of the crowded city. Medics in Rafah witness Israeli attacks on the coastal area.

The place is an entry point for humanitarian aid but the UN has blocked it from Israel. They oppose international aid entering eastern Rafah.

“At least 21 people were killed in attacks in central Gaza and taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the city of Deir al-Balah,” a hospital statement said.

Bodies covered in white clothes lay on the ground in the facility’s courtyard. A man in a baseball cap bends over one of the body bags, holding a hand covered in dust.

Another corpse’s legs poked out from under a blanket with a picture of a large teddy bear. Meanwhile in Rafah, witnesses reported heavy air strikes near the crossing with Egypt, with smoke rising over the city.

Another attack occurred in northern Gaza, witnesses said. Hamas accused Israel of expanding its attack on Rafah to include new areas in the center and west of the city.

This expansion of Israeli attacks following efforts towards a ceasefire and hostage release appears to have stalled. New evacuation order for eastern Rafah, posted on X by military spokesman Avichay Adraee. He said that the designated areas had witnessed Hamas activities in recent days and weeks.

Violate international law

Israeli military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari claimed to have eliminated dozens of terrorists in eastern Rafah. A United States (US) Department of State report on Friday (10/5) said Israel violated international legal norms in its use of weapons.

The US State Department delivered the report two days after President Joe Biden publicly threatened to block bombs and artillery shells if Israel continues its massive offensive on Rafah, which the UN says is a haven for 1.4 million people.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said Gaza risked a severe humanitarian disaster if Israel launched a full-scale ground operation in Rafah. Israel on Saturday said 300,000 people had left Rafah since the initial evacuation order was issued.

“We don’t know where to go. There is no place left in Gaza that is safe or not overcrowded. There is nowhere we can go,” said a refugee in Rafah Farid Abu Eida.

Journalists also began dismantling their tents and packing their gear to leave the city. The evacuation order asked residents to go to the Al-Mawasi humanitarian zone, on the northwest coast of Rafah.

Meanwhile, European Union Chairman Charles Michel said Israel’s evacuation order was unacceptable. Doctors Without Borders (MSF) Emergency Coordinator in Gaza Sylvain Groulx said the area had very limited access to clean drinking water and other basic services. (France24/Z-3)
