The death toll from the fire in a building in Istanbul at noon on Tuesday (02.02.24) now stands at 27.

According to the Turkish media, for the fire that broke out in a 16-story apartment building in the Sisli district in Constantinople and the explosion on the ground floor where a nightclub was housed, an arrest warrant has been issued for 5 people.

According to the announcement of the Istanbul administration, the fire is believed to have been caused during renovation work.

According to witnesses, the explosion occurred near the stage of the nightclub and the 23 people, laborers who were working at the time, were trapped inside the nightclub.

As reported by the Turkish media, the explosion injured 11 people, seven of them seriously.

According to newsit, the nightclub was closed due to the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
