While the SPVQ arrested a 42-year-old man in connection with a physical assault on a 10-year-old hockey player in Quebec, the population is indignant at this violent gesture.

Several citizens interviewed by TVA Nouvelles strongly denounced this incident.

“It’s awful! I can’t conceive of that. We had children, the rest of us, who played hockey and we never heard of bad things like that.
“It shouldn’t happen to our grandchildren, because it upset us”
“It’s appalling! My grandson evolves peewee, but atom, it is very small, that. It is regrettable, very regrettable!”
“It has no business to take place, that. It shouldn’t exist.”
