“It’s good to see each other”

The atmosphere was rather festive and slightly euphoric in the J.-Antonio-Thompson room for the 37th Gala Radisson. “It’s good to see each other” was the most heard expression during the evening. The business community can finally think about recovery after two trying years.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Trois-Rivières rewarded 16 companies and business personalities by highlighting their Talent stories».

The evening immersed spectators in the early 20th century with performances by Bella Bolduc, who interpreted Piaf and La Bolduc in turn. The Trois-Rivières Très Swing dancers also raised the show with their performances. Throughout the evening, archival photos of the city were projected on the big screen. This evening was also intended to kick off the celebrations of the 140th anniversary of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Trois-Rivières.

Even if the heart was at the party for all, the recipients had difficulty hiding their emotions, testifying to the difficulties experienced over the past two years and the challenges that often seemed insurmountable to them. All underlined the importance of the human capital of their company. Without the dedication of their employees, some wonder how they could have made it through the pandemic.

Even if the constraints related to the pandemic seem to be behind, business people did not fail to note that other challenges await them, in particular the lack of manpower, the difficulty of supply and the increased costs. However, all are ready to meet them.

The evening was hosted by Marie-Claude Julien and Jean-Philippe Nadeau from ICI Mauricie.
