Javier Milei accused of mistreating a journalist in Congress | Repudiation of the Circle of Parliamentary Journalists

The national deputy of La Libertad Avanza Javier Miley was accused of mistreating a journalist who tried to interview him at the exit of the Chamber of Deputies, where the extreme rightist attended to participate in the special session, convened by the Front of all, to repudiate the assassination attempt against Cristina Kirchner. After transcending what happened, Milei not only did he deny the fact but he blamed the worker.

According to the newspaper The nationwhere Laura Serra works, the journalist who denounced the attack, the libertarian responded rudely to the chronicler, raising his voice, and accused her of “falsifying her sayings”. A situation that was repeated twice.

The first meeting between the journalist and the economist took place prior to entering the venue when Serra asked her what her position was regarding the assassination attempt against Cristina Kirchner, since she had remained silent for two days.

To this question, Milei replied: “I am not going to give statements and less so to La Nación because it always falsifies my statements.”

The situation did not end there. After giving his speech in which, finally, he repudiated the attempted attack on CFK, but defined the holiday decreed by President Alberto Fernández as “dantesque”, and after starring an unusual cross with Cecilia Moreauthe president of the legislative body, Milei crossed paths with the journalist from The nation.

According to what was reported by the aforementioned newspaper, Serra approached Milei and asked her again if she was going to make a statement. The libertarian replied: “Take verbatim what I said in the room and do not falsify it, as they always do in La Nación.”

Faced with this reaction, the journalist asked him why he responded in that way, since he had never had any dealings with him, but did not get an answer. “Uncomfortable, Milei did not respond and sought to withdraw at a fast pace“, they pointed out from the newspaper.

After this, “The journalist tried to hold him back to speak, to which Milei reacted with an angry voice, as if for everyone to hear him, saying that she was harassing him.”

When the episode took on public relevance, Milei published a photo on social networks, in which he is seen in the company of his sister Karina, his bank partner Victoria Villarruel, the national deputy Carolina Píparo and the head of the National Libertarian Party, Nicolás Emma, ​​at the exit of the enclosure, next to a text in which blames Laura Serra for what happened.

“Given my refusal to testify, hit me on my right arm in a clear act of harassment and provocation,” wrote the legislator.

Meanwhile, from the Circle of Parliamentary Journalists they expressed their “strong rejection” of the “mistreatment” exercised by Milei towards the journalist from La Nación, who “performed her task with professionalism and respect.”

“In addition,” the entity continued, “we reject the grievances subsequently reproduced” by the deputy on their networks and expressed their “absolute solidarity” with Serra. “We call for this type of episode not to be repeated,” they concluded.
