Jeonbuk drew 0-0 with Sydney FC (Australia) in the first leg of Group H of the 2022 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League (ACL), which ended on the 17th (Korean time) at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Jeonbuk tied for second place with Sydney FC after leader Yokohama F Marinos, who won 2-1 over Hoang Ain Jalai (Vietnam).
Jeonbuk, who participated in the ACL as the K-League 1 champion, will challenge for the third time in their career.
Jeonbuk won the last tournament in 2016.
Jeonbuk will play their second game against Yokohama at 11 pm on the 19th.

Jeonbuk did not show much sharpness, except for Kunimoto’s shot that followed Kim Bo-kyung’s cutback in the 6th minute of the first half, headed straight to the opponent’s keeper.
Jeonbuk goalkeeper Lee Beom-soo made several saves and gave the team one point by turning Sydney FC’s bitter shot to zero.
In the 28th minute of the first half, Trent Bukhajier shot a shot from the left side of the goal area and in the 13th minute Adam Lepondre attempted a ground ball from the right side, both of which were blocked by Lee Beom-su.
