Joachim Gahm becomes informal political advisor for Sara Skyttedal and her EU project Folklistan. “She has helped me a lot”

Joachim Gahm (KD) member of the Danderyd municipal council becomes an advisor to Sara Skyttedal and her EU election project – the new party Folklistan.

An informal role, he says.

– If she wants to ask questions and ask for advice, I will answer. It is on personal grounds that I stand up, I am not part of any organization for Folklistan. We have helped each other and support each other, he tells Mitt i.

After a recording for Henrik Jönsson’s YouTube channel on Monday about Folklistan, when journalists were present, attention was drawn when Skyttedal and former S-politician Jan Emanuel – who will be the party’s first name – left the place in a helicopter. Joachim Gahm was there.

You haven’t taken the helicopter?

– No, says Joachim Gahm and laughs.

– We were all surprised by what was there. The Swedish elections can be boring, so when there are jokes, like yesterday, then it becomes more fun.

During Tuesday, a longer list of candidates from various parties was presented for Folklistan.

No names from Danderyd, yet.

– It may come. But I will not run for office. I am a member of the Christian Democrats and will support my party in the EU elections.

Helped each other in windy weather

Sara Skyttedal’s project with Folklistan comes after unrest within KD at the top level. In January, it became known that Ebba Busch’s friend and debater Alice Teodorescu Måwe will take her place.

Joachim Gahm – who has also been in bad weather in KD – says that he and Sara have supported each other when things have been stormy.

– She has helped me a lot. We have a personal relationship since 2016, and that is the role I have.

Folklistan is a cross-political project like June list from 2004. In a formal sense, it is a party, where the candidates pursue their own issues but with a common basis for Swedish politics in the EU.

Gahm hopes that it can garner interest for the EU elections.

“I have my party”

– The EU election can be a bit boring, and I like that about this, it becomes more exciting. Then it’s conservative politics and they want to take power back to the Swedish people, I think that’s good.

He answers what the party comrades in KD think. A question that arose on Monday in an interview with Expressen was if Gahm would have to take time out from municipal council politics in Danderyd.

– If KD wants it, then I will do it. But I haven’t received any signals about it.

Chairman of KD Danderyd, Gunnar Liljegren, answers how he views Joachim Gahm’s support for Skyttedal.

– He must not publicly support another party, but as far as I understand, he has promised not to do so. Then I think the matter is a bit out of this world. I hope and believe that he is loyal and faithful, but if I am wrong, of course we will have to act accordingly.

The folk list

During Tuesday, several names were presented, former S, KD and MP politicians on Folklistan’s list before the EU elections.

1. Jan Emanuel (former S) 2. Sara Skyttedal (former KD) 3. Hans Palo (former S) 4. Amilia Stapelfeldt (background in M) 5. Peter Söderlund (from MP) 6. Håkan Wretsell (former KD).

If KD wants it, then I’ll do it. But I haven’t received any signals about it.
