Who are we ?
SporTech is a 1901 law association, which aims to bring together French digital, innovative or impact companies in the sports economy. It will also aim to support and promote these members to businesses, the general public and public institutions.
The collective is currently made up of 120 member startups (including Sorare, MonPetitGazon, Gymlib, Sport Heroes, Kobi, etc.), and is managed by a steering committee of 7 members, elected each year at the General Assembly.
Job description
SporTech is currently looking for its Development Manager, who will be in charge of the development of the association, while respecting the strategy put in place by the director office. It must carry out actions to promote SporTech startups and encourage exchanges with the entire French sports ecosystem in order to create connections useful for their development.
All missions will be carried out in agreement and in collaboration with the members of the management office, who are there to provide support on most subjects.
Missions
● Development of the association
○ Search for new members
○ Respond to requests and present the association to any potential new members
○ Develop strong relationships with all incubators and accelerators that have a sports vertical, update the associated mapping
● Organization of events
○ To unite the collective: organize informal “aperitif” type events throughout the year in Paris and throughout France
○ To promote business: organize several events during the year with Sportech partners
○ To facilitate the growth of startups: organize one or two events during the year to bring together investment funds and startups, with the support of the BPI
● Negotiations & search for financing
○ Negotiate preferential rates for the collective’s startups (events, media, etc.)
○ Search for new partners
○ Search for new sources of financing for the association
● Communication & animation
○ Lead the collective on social networks (Linkedin) and on Slack
○ Write the monthly newsletter for members
○ Strengthen our exchanges with the media
● Management
○ Supervise and work closely with the SporTech Project Manager intern to distribute tasks
Required profile
● Bac +4 /5
● A first professional experience is expected, ideally on business development or community development topics
● Strong appetite for the sports environment
● Knowledge of the digital world/innovation and startups
● Expected qualities:
○ autonomy, relational skills, perseverance, dynamism
○ entrepreneurial experience would be a plus.
