The traditional hike organized by the volunteers of the League against Cancer in the Upper Valley will take place this Sunday May 21. The start of this event, which has become a must, will be given at 8:30 a.m. at the Louis-Alibert center. This year, the hike will be dedicated to Doctor Jacques Puyéo who died of illness. Through two circuits, it will be possible to discover the breathtaking landscapes of the Haute Vallée, with a break from 9:15 a.m. at the boulodrome de Montazels where the municipality will offer coffee. The rest of the route will make you discover the magnificent paths on the slopes of Mont-Sec reopened by the volunteers of the association Patrimoine de Montazels and it will be the return to Espéraza via Antugnac where refreshments will be served.
Participation in the hike is set at 5 €, with the possibility of making a donation without hiking and the possibility of having a snack after the hike always for 5 € on registration.
The volunteers of the League against cancer in the Haute Vallée are expecting a large audience and recall that “Coming hiking with us is part of a prevention approach since physical activity is recognized as beneficial… You will support the league in its missions (funding research and helping Aude patients affected by the disease) while caring for your own health”.
