Juan Diego Alvira is one of the most recognized and admired journalists in the country. In fact, his long career in Noticias Caracol led him to become one of the flagship faces of the newscast and a recognized figure in the national territory, where he managed to obtain credibility with the information he transmitted to viewers and obtain thousands of followers.
After his time at Noticias Caracol, the presenter also went to Revista Semana, where he moved away from television to focus on the digital world, serving as director of the video unit. However, his stay in said environment was not very long and after a few months he resigned.
Now, that his program has been a success and many celebrate his return to television, Juan Diego Alvira recalled his time on Semana and even revealed what his relationship was like with fellow journalist Vicky Dávila, who was his boss.
In a recent interview he gave to the magazine ’15 Minutos’, the journalist mentioned “I have to say that our relationship was not a honeymoon. In fact, there were difficult moments and some scuffles, but, in the end, that’s how it is with any boss; and those of us who work on this even more so, since we are in an industry where egos predominate,” declared Juan Diego Alvira.

Then, he highlighted that he learned another side of Vicky Dávila and defined her as “a super professional, judicious and dedicated woman.”
Finally, he explained that the main reason for his resignation from Semana was a proposal made to him at RCN: “I resigned because the RCN Channel made me an offer, so I saw the possibility of returning to what I know how to do best: television,” he revealed. Alvira, who did return to the small screen, but on Channel 1.

Regarding his digital work for Semana, the man from Tolima recognized that he crashed into a world that he did not fully know, but about which he learned a lot in the five months he was at the magazine under the direction of Vicky Dávila.
