Juan Guaidó expelled from a restaurant in Venezuela by Chavista militants – Venezuela – International

A group of militants from Nicolás Maduro’s party attacked Juan Guaidó, after a massive mobilization of the opposition in San Carlos, the capital of Cojedes (Venezuela).

People clashed inside a restaurant. A video captured what happened and recorded screams, blows and how objects were thrown at the interim president.

Before the attack, Guaidó’s team was talking with the residents of the area about their needs and problems. On social networks, the opposition leader published a video of his arrival in a neighborhood in the city of San Carlos.

“Cojedes is a land that faced and defeated the dictatorship. Today we came to look for you to consolidate unity, a tool that has been effective throughout this struggle to challenge and defeat a regime that wants to accustom us to tragedy. # Cojedes is mobilized” expressed Guaidó on his Instagram account, minutes before the attack.

The video

The group of Chavistas who questioned the opponent forced him to take refuge inside a restaurant in the city. In a viral video it is observed that, minutes later, Guaidó was pushed out of the restaurant.

The recording shows some people dressed in red attacking him while calling him insults and shouting to get him out of the place.

This is not the first attack on the opposition by Chavista militants. A week ago, while he was in Zulia, a group of people blocked his caravan’s way.

At that time, the Venezuelan blamed the Chavista councilor José Sierra for attacking members of the opposition. “They are not ‘gangs’, it is the dictatorship against the people,” Juan Guaidó said at the time.
