The Association for Research on ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), launches the second edition of the awareness month “June bursts, a month to open our eyes to ALS”. From 1is on June 21, you are all invited to participate in the various events that will take place throughout France! For example, you can sign up for the “Challenge ALS” connected race. The goal? Cover the maximum number of kilometres, alone or in a group, running, walking or rolling, to raise money for research, while every day, 5 people die of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The association is aiming for the 100,000 euros raised. You have until June 21 to register.
June 21: an evening with many guests
This month of awareness will find its climax on June 21, which marks the international day of the fight against ALS. For the occasion, the Association for ALS Research is organizing an evening in partnership with the Paris Opera. During this evening, the ballet “Signs”, by Carolyn Carlson, will be presented to the association and a meeting with many guests is planned. Will be present the director of the national opera of Paris, Alexander Neef, the choreographer Carolyn Carlson, as well as with the dancers and artists of the ballet. Leah Stavenhagen will also be present, as well as journalist and host Marina Carrère d’Encausse, and Olivier Goy, founder of October and protagonist of the film Invincible Summer.

Other events aimed at raising awareness about ALS will take place in June throughout France. On the program, for example, solidarity walks organized by the Groupama Foundation, but also concerts, the realization of personal challenges… The whole program is available on the social networks of the ARSLA.
