Chittagong’s Kachchi Dine restaurant has been fined Tk 1 lakh 20 thousand by the joint mobile court of BSTI, Directorate of Safe Food and RAB.
The raid was conducted at Katchi Dine restaurant at GEC intersection in Chittagong city on Tuesday (March 14) afternoon.
Assistant Director of RAB-7 Nurul Abshar confirmed its authenticity.
According to RAB, several irregularities including expired food items were found during the raid at GEC Mor Katchi Dine Restaurant. In view of these complaints, Kachchi Dine restaurant was fined one lakh and twenty thousand rupees.
Besides, the same raiding party raided the kitchen of Asian Kebab and imposed a fine of one lakh rupees on various charges including unsanitary environment.
RAB said that such operations will continue in view of the holy Ramadan.
