„I think the principle, the ideas behind an independent currency are amazing. They are wonderful tools for exchange and distribution of resources. So, fiddling with cryptocurrency or cryptocurrency volatility only makes it better in terms of protection.”
The Hollywood star previously revealed that he owns cryptocurrency. “A friend bought me some recently” – he said in December 2021, adding that he has not done anything with them yet.
Reeves, NFTs and the Metaverse
Reeves also shared how he became an advisor to the Futureverse Foundation, a charity he launched in New Zealand last June, an NFT and blockchain technology company. In addition to supporting underrepresented artists, the foundation tries to help make the metaverse widely available.
The popular actor said in this regard: “It’s something that my partner Alexandra Grant is very interested in, so I’m following in her footsteps. I helped prepare the departure.” Reeves and Grant are both advisors to the Futureverse Foundation.
