On the 13th, former member Joo Ki-hwan, who was appointed as a member of the People’s Power Emergency Response Committee, expressed his resignation. Vice Chairman Jeong Jin-seok accepted the resignation and appointed Rep. Jeon Joo-hye as a new non-commissioned member.

Park Hyung-soo, spokesperson for the People’s Power, held a press conference to announce the appointment of additional non-commissioned officers at the National Assembly Communication Hall on the morning of the same day and said, “After the announcement of the first appointment of non-commissioned members a while ago, former non-commissioned member Joo Ki-hwan expressed his earnest gratitude to Chairman Jeong Jin-seok.” I accepted former member Eun-joo’s resignation and appointed Rep. Jeon Joo-hye as a non-commissioning member.”

Regarding the reason for the resignation, he said, “After the announcement, he said he had been telling Chairman Jung that it was not appropriate.”

Former member Joo, who ran as a candidate for the People’s Strength mayor of Gwangju in the last local election, was also appointed as a non-commissioned member for Honam by Joo Ho-young. At that time, he received attention for being a 20-year acquaintance with President Yoon Seok-yeol and a former prosecutor. Afterwards, it was revealed that his son Joo-mo was working as a level 6 administrative agent in the Office of the President, and controversy over private recruitment was raised. This day’s resignation seems to be due to the burden of the non-captain’s strengthening of the pro-yun color and the controversy over private recruitment.

When asked if there was a hole in the regional arrangement due to the resignation of the former member, Park said, “The former member’s hometown is Gwangju. So I know that the former member was appointed.”
