On the 17th, Kim Geon-hee, wife of the presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol, visited Bongeunsa Temple in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

According to the People’s Power ancestral headquarters, Kim had a tea ceremony for about an hour at Bongeunsa Temple at around 11 a.m. on the same day with Wonmyeong Wonmyeong, the head monk.

This is the first time Kim’s outside activities have been known since the official election campaign began on the 15th.

On the 14th, the day before the start of the election campaign, it was revealed to the media that Mr. Kim visited the Far East Broadcasting Company in Mapo-gu, Seoul and met the chairman, Pastor Kim Jang-hwan. It is known that Kim prevented Pastor Kim on December 21 last year and early January of this year as well.

Kim’s successive visits to the religious circles were observed to suggest that a public move was imminent, but the predecessor headquarters drew a line that it was due to a long personal relationship with Monk Oh Sim, a weekly Buddhist newspaper.

A senior headquarters official said in a phone call with News 1, “Ms. Kim’s visit was due to a very personal relationship. She explained, “It was not at all that she had consulted or encouraged her to visit the ship’s headquarters.”

He further emphasized, “Nothing has been decided yet regarding the public behavior of the woman.”
