Moscow. September 17. INTERFAX.RU – North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has completed his visit to the Russian Federation, the press service of the Primorsky Territory government reported.
“Secretary General of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Chairman of State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the DPRK Kim Jong-un completed his official visit to Russia and the Primorsky Territory in particular. The train with the leader of the neighboring country left the territory of Primorye on Sunday evening,” – the message says.
The visit of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to Russia began on September 12, he arrived at the Khasan station in the Primorsky Territory. Then the North Korean leader headed to the Amur region on his armored train, where, together with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he inspected the Vostochny cosmodrome. After this, the state leaders held negotiations, first with the participation of delegations, and then tete-a-tete, where they discussed regional security and the situation in the world.
On September 15, Kim Jong-un visited Komsomolsk-on-Amur, where he visited the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yu. A. Gagarin (KnAAZ named after. Yu.A. Gagarin, part of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC)), as well as the site of the production center of the parent company of the civilian division of UAC Yakovlev.
On Saturday, Kim Jong-un arrived in Primorye, where he visited the Knevichi airfield, where he was met by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. The leader of the DPRK was presented with strategic aviation aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Russian Tu-214 airliner. Kim Jong-un also visited the Pacific Fleet frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov, where he was shown the ship’s new weapons. The DPRK leader also attended the ballet “The Sleeping Beauty” on the Primorsky stage of the Mariinsky Theater.
On Sunday, Kim Jong-un visited the Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island in Vladivostok and visited the Primorsky Oceanarium scientific and educational complex.
