The funeral of Don Fernando Umberto Gómez Athebo de Bourbon was attended last Saturday by King Felipe of Spain with Queen Letizia, Don Fernando Humberto Gómez Athebo de Borbon was the son of Infanta Maria Pilar de Bordon and Luis Gómez-Acebo, therefore a nephew of the late King Juan Carlos and a cousin of King Felipe and his sisters Cristina and Elena.
Fernando de Bourbon died suddenly on March 1, aged 49. after a long struggle against chronic respiratory failure, which worsened in recent months.
The photographers’ flashes, however, were directed at the royal couple of Spain, as the reports that want them to separate are increasingly flaring up. On Saturday the two came to the temple side by side without showing any sign of intimacy and tenderness. Movements were awkward with the two rarely making eye contact. In fact, there was a distance between them when they were not even touching.
