“The End of The Road World Tour was the culmination of 50 years of touring to elevate the live concert experience for fans old and new,” vocalist and guitarist Paul Stanley said, introducing a new two-part documentary chronicling the band’s final leg of its road career.
KISS may have retired from the road, but the veteran rock outfit’s post-touring machinery is proving just as relentless as their pyrotechnic-heavy stage shows. The band has announced KISS: End of the Road, a two-part documentary detailing the final stretch of their touring career, which concluded with farewell performances at Madison Square Garden in December 2023.
Inside the Final Fifty Shows and Behind-the-Scenes Conflict
Directed by DJ Viola and produced by Leslie Greif through Big Dreams Entertainment and Elemeno Productions, the documentary promises an unfiltered look at the camaraderie, operational demands, and internal conflicts that marked the group’s final global trek. The production captures the raw energy of the band’s final 50 shows leading up to their December 2, 2023 finale, which was streamed live on pay-per-view.
“This documentary captures the spectacle, the energy and the extraordinary connection between the band and its fans during the final 50 shows leading to Madison Square Garden,” Greif said, reflecting on a three-decade association with the band’s universe. Bassist and vocalist Gene Simmons added that the film offers an inside perspective on the energy of the Madison Square Garden shows where the group’s touring legacy reached its conclusion.
Streaming Premieres, Pricing, and the Las Vegas Sneak Peek
The rollout begins well before the film hits wider distribution platforms later in the fall. Attendees at the upcoming KISS Kruise: Land-Locked in Vegas—scheduled for November 13 through November 15 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas—will receive an exclusive sneak peek of the project. The multi-day fan gathering also features two unmasked KISS sets, split between acoustic and electric performances, alongside an all-star tribute honoring guitarist Ace Frehley.
Following the convention preview, the documentary will hold its official worldwide premiere via a live streaming event on KissOnline.com on November 19. Powered by streaming technology partner Kiswe and presented by Mercury Studios, the broadcast follows Mercury Studios’ previous live-streaming efforts, including Ozzy Osbourne’s final live performance. Pre-orders for the project are open now, starting at $14.99 with regional pricing adjustments available, granting purchasers a seven-day viewing window following the live event. Members of the KISS Army and VIP tiers are slated to receive direct discount codes.
Pophouse Partnership and the Expanding KISS Legacy Machine
The documentary release is one component of a broader corporate and creative strategy executed alongside Pophouse, the Swedish entertainment firm that acquired the band’s entire music catalog, brand name, and likeness in early 2024. Pophouse is actively developing a portfolio of digital and theatrical assets centered around the band, including an ABBA-style avatar concert experience and a feature-length biopic.

The current archival wave also includes a deluxe boxed set reissuing the band’s famed 1976 Anaheim Stadium concert, pairing historical artifacts with contemporary streaming initiatives. For Stanley, Simmons, and their touring partners—guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer—the transition away from physical touring has effectively transformed their catalog and history into an ongoing, multi-format enterprise.
