Speaking to MEGA, Apostolos Lytras noted that: “Most things from the case file had been leaked. The facts of the case file are specific. Mrs. Nikolou did not simply surprise us, she made a prosecution proposal unacceptable. He said he accepts what the 12-year-old said. And suddenly we have the acquittal of one accused of rape. So how does he accept it since the minor says he raped her?”
He noted that the prosecutor: “He pleaded guilty to the first defendant for pimping, but without financial consideration. The 12-year-old had reported that the first accused was taking her to brothels. And the prosecutor took this out of the frame. And she blames this on her mother.”
Finally, he revealed that all the psychologists and child psychiatrists who examined the 12-year-old decided that she was telling the truth. “I will reveal to you, a psychologist, the minor’s child psychiatrist and another psychiatrist were examined. They all said that the child is telling the truth about both the accused and his mother. The prosecutor brought five pages and read them after 40 meetings.”
The recommendation of the prosecutor
According to information, the public prosecutor recommended the sentencing of the 22 defendants for sexual acts with a minor for pay who have completed 12 years. At the same time, with her proposal, the prosecutor proposed the acquittal, due to doubts, of an accused of Pakistani origin.
The prosecutor’s office, according to information, was a catalyst for the mother of the minor for whom she pleaded guilty to all the charges she is facing, making her a central figure in the case. In particular, the prosecutor requested that the child’s mother be sentenced for the offenses of the distinguished case of pornography, as she is alleged to have distributed material of the minor to co-accused, of the distinguished case of pimping with the aggravating circumstance that she herself is a person who has custody and care of the minor.
According to information, in terms of pimping, according to the prosecutor, it takes the form of extortion and facilitation through intolerable pressures, emotional blackmail and exhortations to her minor daughter to be extradited to bring her money, but also through information systems in the form of intolerable pressures and prompting the minor to produce videos and photos in order to bring her money.
In addition, she pleaded guilty to the crime of misdemeanor extortion which she allegedly committed against the ex-wife of Il. Michos.
At the same time, the public prosecutor suggested the guilt of Ilias Michos who, according to the charge, had a leading role in the case for aggravated abuse of a minor who had not reached the age of 14 by a person entrusted to him, for possession of pornographic material with a minor under 12 years of age but without coercion and profiteering, for facilitating the extradition of a minor and for possession of a weapon.
The prosecutor’s office, however, reportedly asked for the accused to be found not guilty, on grounds of doubt, of child rape, brothel pimping and forced pimping with prostitution proceeds.
It took 33 meetings, which were held behind closed doors, to reach the time when the prosecutor will propose the guilt or not of the accused. The “bet” of the court was from the first moment to issue its decision before the 18 months of temporary detention of the defendants expired next month.
