Kuwait City Drug Arrests and Special Rain Prayer Event

Kuwait City: Two people were arrested with drugs in Kuwait. Home Ministry officials caught two people with 35 kilograms of hashish and 2,000 psychotropic pills.

The General Administration of Narcotics received information that two persons were dealing in narcotics in Jabir Al Ahmad area. Then, after detailed checks, investigations and legal approval, the accused were arrested. Drugs were seized from them. The money they earned by selling drugs was also recovered. The accused have pleaded guilty. The accused and the seized drugs and money have been handed over to the concerned departments for further legal action.

Meanwhile, the Coast Guard foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of hashish into Kuwait a few days ago. 40 kilograms of hashish worth 150,000 Kuwaiti dinars were seized.

The arrests of the accused are part of the Home Ministry’s ongoing efforts to arrest drug traffickers and dealers. The Coast Guard’s Maritime Security Division seized the boat carrying the drugs. There were five people in it. The officials who received information about drug trafficking arrested the accused. The accused pleaded guilty. They have been handed over to the public prosecution for further legal proceedings.
