Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Criminal Court in Kuwait ruled, on Thursday, that a colonel in the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior and 8 expatriate defendants be imprisoned after being convicted of receiving a bribe to issue driving licenses to those who do not meet the conditions.
The court ordered the colonel to be imprisoned for 8 years with hard labor and enforcement, and sentenced 8 expatriate defendants involved in the case to between 6 and 4 years in prison with hard labor and enforcement, and deported them after serving the sentence.
The defendants were sentenced to separate fines amounting to about 20,000 dinars, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Qabas.
