Kuwaiti Jazeera Airways seeks to expand after two years of Corona

The shareholders of Jazeera Airways approved during the general assembly meeting today, Sunday, the board of directors’ recommendation to distribute a cash dividend of 32 fils per share, with a total amount of 7 million dinars for the year 2021, after suspending the distribution of dividends for two years due to the Corona pandemic.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jazeera Airways, Marwan Boodai, said that the company plans to continue expanding its network by launching new direct flights from Kuwait to destinations that enjoy high demand from travelers for tourism, as well as from a large segment of residents in the Middle East.

According to a press release, Boodai said that this expansion will be supported by the company’s order by the end of 2021 to purchase 28 new A320neo and A321neo aircraft from Airbus.

He added that the company intends to expand its infrastructure with a supporting building for maintenance and other support services for the aviation sector.

Jazeera Airways has previously obtained an accreditation certificate from the General Administration of Civil Aviation of Kuwait to be an approved center for training pilots and aircraft crews from its headquarters in Kuwait, which is a step towards expanding its services.
