For its first season under the name of LaLiga EA Sports FC, in 2023-2024, the Spanish championship will have a new logo, totally red, and a new typography.
The Spanish championship continues to evolve. While LaLiga Santander will give way to LaLiga EA Sports FC from next season and for at least five years, this change will be accompanied by the arrival of a new logo, completely remodeled and in a unique pale red color , according to the indiscretions revealed by Footy Headlines.
A 5-year contract that will pay off big
Present for 30 years, the multicolored circle and the ball disappear in favor of two red curves which form a double L as the acronym of La Liga. The typography, all in capitals, also changes. The website specifies that the complete logo, where the mention of the new partner EA Sports should appear, is not yet known.
As a reminder, this deal with the video game publisher, which is spread over five years, should bring in 30 million euros per year for the federation according to the spanish press, against the annual 17 million currently collected for the partnership with the Santander bank. The image of the championship will also be turned upside down, with a desire to get closer to a younger and more international audience.
