That’s what it’s about

  • A woman robs men in Las Vegas hotels.

  • She was caught once before in the summer.

  • Another incident happened this weekend.

Las Vegas police arrested 33-year-old Sarah Richards on Sunday. The woman is accused of stealing a $12,000 Rolex watch and hiding it in her vagina.
Richards, from the city of Baltimore, has been in Las Vegas for several days because she was due to appear in court Monday for a summer theft.

On June 4, a hotel guest reported to police that the woman he slept with stole his $100,000 Patek Philippe watch. The man said he met the woman at a casino. He suspected he might have been drugged by Richards.

Arrested again before the court hearing

But the night before her court hearing, another incident occurred: Police were called to another hotel on South Las Vegas Boulevard. A man told authorities that a woman – later identified as Richards – stole items from his room, including a $12,000 Rolex watch.

The victim told police he met Richards at the hotel and later went to his room to drink wine. The man said Richards kept insisting that he drink more wine. He then felt tired and became sleepy. After a while, however, he noticed that his watch was missing and asked Richards about it. The woman panicked and left the room.

Police had to bring metal detector

Security personnel were able to quickly apprehend Richards, but despite a physical search, they were unable to find the stolen watch. The investigators discovered the wine glass in the room, and a white, powdery substance was visible on the bottom.

After the watch never showed up, officers checked Richards with a metal detector. “When we passed the device over the woman’s body, it began to whistle around her genital area,” the police told broadcaster WSAZ. Richards agreed at that moment to remove the watch from inside.

Richards’ court hearing on Monday was eventually called off. She has since posted bail and her next court date is scheduled for January 10.
