Lawyer answers Al-Marsad newspaper

Al-Marsad newspaper: Lawyer Ziad Al-Shaalan answered the question: “Does a traffic policeman have the right to give a person more than one violation at the same time?”

Al-Shaalan said, in a video clip: “Yes, the traffic man has the right to give you more than one violation at the same time, and this is called multiple fines, with multiple violations.”

He added: “For example, he may give you a fine of 1,000 riyals for driving a vehicle before obtaining a license, and at the same time he will give you a fine of 150 riyals for not wearing a seat belt.”

He concluded his speech: “He may also give you a fine of 1,000 riyals for driving a car without a front plate.”
