The Alexandria Criminal Court decided to detain a lawyer for 4 days and present him to the concerned investigation authorities after he pleaded in one of the cases pending before the court while he was “drunk” and consumed alcohol in one of the courtrooms of the first instance.
On Thursday, a judge in the Alexandria Court requested a “criminal statement” for the accused lawyer, and also requested to inquire about surveillance cameras at the scene of the incident, provided that his renewal is taken into account within the legal time. According to what was reported by the “Cairo 24” website.
The strange incident occurred when the Alexandria Criminal Court was examining a case of drug trafficking, which was restricted to the second Amiriya felonies, in which the accused was S.S., and in the presence of the accused lawyer to plead for him.
During his pleading, the “drunk” lawyer was accused of not respecting the pleading law before the court.
The court decided to seize the lawyer and place him in the dock. This was due to his appearance before the court while in a state of intoxication, and his presentation to the investigation authorities, subjecting him to a drug analysis to discover his safety and whether or not he had used narcotics or drinks.
