Leaders of the Frente de Todos responded to Macri’s message: “He failed”

Leaders of the Frente de Todos (FdT) responded this Sunday with an ironic tone to the message published by former President Mauricio Macri confirming that he will not be a candidate in the next elections.

The spokesperson for the Presidency, Gabriela Cerruti, replied to Macri’s tweet and referred to the beginning of his speech, where the former president pointed out: “We are adrift, without leadership, isolated from the world, alone.”

“Isolated from the world”, he limited himself to writing, and added images of President Alberto Fernández together with his peers from Brazil and France, Lula Da Silva and Emmanuel Macron, and other official photos of G20 meetings and the Celac summit.

In turn, Cerruti published another Tweet where he attached confirmation from the White House of the meeting between Fernández and Joe Biden, in Washington.

The response of the Frente de Todos to Macri: “He failed”

For his part, the Minister of Public Works, Gabriel Katopodis, considered that Macri “failed” in his management because “he made bad decisions” and “people put a limit on him.”

“He wanted to remain in power, but the people put a limit on him that remains,” Katopodis said from his Twitter account.

For the official, the candidates of the opposition alliance “go for the same policies that paralyzed public works, put the country in debt and closed thousands of SMEs in Argentina.”

On the other hand, José Ignacio de Mendiguren, Secretary of Industry and Productive Development of the Ministry of Economy, published a Twitter thread that was republished by Aníbal Fernández, Minister of Security, and Sergio Massa, Minister of Economy.

“In Mauricio Macri’s management, there was no talk of industry and the industry fell 13% in 4 years. Today with all the difficulties-pandemic, war and now drought-we are more than 10% above 2019 and in February it continued to grow, both year-on-year and month-on-month,” he said, along with the hashtag #CreoEnArgentina.

“Growth continues because the investment rate is at its highest level since 2008. In 2022 it rose 10.9% and 28.8% vs. 2019. This shows that those who produce and generate employment believe in this productive-competitive model and on the stabilization path proposed by Sergio Massa”, he added, together with an infographic from the Ministry of Economy.

Meanwhile, the chief of staff of the municipality of Avellaneda, Magdalena Sierra, pointed out that “the man who has done the most damage to the country in recent years today decides to ‘resign for the good of the country,'” when in reality, she said, ” the numbers don’t give him” and “the people know who he is and what he did”.
