“Lebanese Debate”

Tomorrow, Tuesday, the President of the Lebanese Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr. Joe Salloum, will launch a campaign to adhere to the legal drug and the official pricing in legal pharmacies.

In this context, Salloum asserts, “there will be a sticker release in order to put it on the front of all legal pharmacies, which undertake to sell the medicine at its official price without any increase or decrease, as well as its commitment to the legal medicine.”

Salloum stresses in an interview with the “Lebanese Debate” that “every pharmacy that does not adhere to the pricing and legal medicine, and does not put a sticker on the facade, will be referred to investigation.”

He points out that “the problem today is with pharmacies that are outside the syndicate framework, over which we have no authority and which are illegal pharmacies, so we appeal to the concerned authorities to deal with them.”

And he considers that “the adhesive decision will constitute a protection for the patient’s health, by securing official and good medicine at the real price, without being exposed to any fraud, and this contributes to limiting the spread of smuggled and counterfeit medicines.”

Salloum concludes, stressing that “any pharmacy that does not have this sticker attached to it means that it is an illegal pharmacy, or a pharmacy that is not committed to good medicine and a good price.”
