LeBron James erases April Tweet that raises concerns about his future at the Lakers

The Lakers‘ last two season have been way below what the general expectation had been for LeBron James. Throughout the 20-years in the NBAthis legendary player had never missed the Playoffs until it happened lasat season. James wrote a tweet that was left there for posterity, ot so we thought. The tweet in question reads as follows: “I can/will NOT miss the post season again for my career! This shit HURT. Ok back to watching these games,” wrote James as he saw one of the Playoff games he didn’t play.

Well, that wishful tweet is nowhere to be found today as the Lakers go through another complicated and rocky season. They started off pretty badly and then got a little balanced with a spectacular Anthony Davis. Althoug his absence through injury has brought the Lakers back to their losing ways. LeBron James has always been on the court but his double-digit performances haven’t been enough for the Lakers to prevent more defeats this season.

What does this mean for LeBron James’ future?

The fact that LeBron James wrote that tweet in the first place is an indicator he wasn’t feeling what the Lakers’ leadership was doing at the time. Things don’t seem to have changed much since but James deleted that tweet. Keeping it on his profile meant that other teams such as the Cleveland Cavaliers or other possible destinations could maintain hope of probably signing LeBron James in the future. But now, all that hope has been tarnished by a simple deleted tweet. The Lakers have proven they can’t take a team back to winning a championship despite having one of the best ballers in NBA history.

But this doesn’t clear up whether LeBron James has decided to stay at the Lakers or not, keep in mind he is alreaady in the twilight of his carrer. Plus, James has repeatedly stated he is waiting for his son, Bronny to make his NBA debut over the next couple of years. No further rumors about his future have leaked yet but you can expect them to return if the Lakers don’t make the Playoffs this season. Thank god the Internet keeps receipts of everything LeBron James does.
