Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50q mini PC now $1,049, $880 off with Intel Core 5 210H and 32 GB RAM

Lenovo has discounted its ThinkCentre Neo 50q Gen 5 mini PC by $880 on its official US online store, dropping the price of the 32 GB RAM configuration to $1,049.

The Core Hardware Configuration

The ThinkCentre Neo 50q Gen 5 packs an Intel Core 5 210H processor featuring an 8-core, 12-thread architecture. This setup splits its workload across four “Raptor Cove” performance cores and four “Gracemont” efficiency cores. Notebookcheck reported that the machine couples this 45-watt silicon with 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 TLC SSD housed inside an M.2 2280 slot.

A second M.2 slot is included on the motherboard for internal storage expansion. Synthetic multithreaded benchmarks show the Core 5 210H keeping pace with a 28-watt AMD Ryzen AI 5 435 APU found in mid-range desktop platforms, holding a roughly four percent lead in benchmark runs. Lenovo operates the chip inside a lowered 35-watt thermal profile on this mini PC, which introduces a small constraint on raw compute output.

Thermal Output and Graphics Limits

Measuring 179 by 36.5 by 182.9 millimeters—roughly 7.05 by 1.44 by 7.2 inches—the chassis encloses roughly one litre of total volume. The integrated graphics processor relies on the Intel Iris Xe G4 architecture. This GPU handles basic display output and video acceleration tasks, though it trails a mid-range Radeon 760M iGPU by roughly 62 percent in overall performance metrics.

Office productivity workloads run well on the available compute capacity. Heavier processing loads push past the intended limits of the hardware.

Connectivity and Peripheral Options

Physical I/O on the ThinkCentre Neo 50q includes three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port supporting Power Delivery 3.1. Display outputs feature an HDMI 2.1 port and a DisplayPort 1.4 connection, alongside a 3.5 mm audio jack. A punch-out port on the rear chassis accommodates optional DisplayPort, VGA, Serial, or Ethernet connections.
