As we reported, the Let’s do it festival ended at the weekend! its third season, in which Charlie Horvath his evergreen hit, Nézz az ég kéra was the winner. The song Freddie the audience could hear in his performance. The scratchy-voiced singer saw this task as one of the most difficult professional challenges of his life. “This song means a lot to me, and so does Charlie. I think he is the best Hungarian male performer and voice of all time. Compared to him, whatever the song is in my performance, it somehow falls into parentheses”, Freddie praised his colleague in Family-Friendly.
He didn’t deny that, while singing the song, a sea of childhood memories surfaced in him, which almost ruined the performance. “The music reminded me of my childhood, the old apartment I grew up in jumped in, and at one point I had to command my memories to stop so I could sing the song. There was a moment in the semi-final when I thought of my grandmother, but there was a transition in the choreography during which I was able to organize my thoughts.” The singer received his real prize only after that, because Charlie also appeared in the studio and congratulated him on the victory. “What I really liked was that it wasn’t oversung, even though it’s a difficult note. Sometimes I even heard my own voice,” Charlie praised his young colleague.
