This is a historic event that we will witness this Tuesday, October 10 at around 11 a.m. in Bresssoux. The Liège tram will indeed make its very first outing, almost 4 years after the start of the work!
The first tram train will carry out low-speed running tests from the tram maintenance and storage center in Bressoux.

“The first tests aim to test the size of the tram on the tracks and overhead contact lines under tension. Once this first step has been validated by an approved organization, the twenty tram trains will go through a battery of serial and dynamic tests. The energy supply, size, acceleration and braking on straight lines will be tested in particular,” explains the TEC in its press release.
The first dynamic tests of the tram are taking place initially in the Droixhe-Pont Atlas and Coronmeuse area. As the line becomes available on the rest of the route, testing will continue until Standard, and no later than October 31, 2024.
