The cyber security company Doctor Web, reviewed by El Tiempo, discovered in recent days that there’s a virus trojan in WhatsApp who attacks four cell phones with Android operating system.
The most important fact in this regard is that the affected mobiles are counterfeit mobiles, that unscrupulous people create to look similar to devices from some of the most popular brands on the market. (See also: WhatsApp will present, shortly, two new updates; you can create your avatar)
The Trojan virus in question arrives installed on the fake cell phone and is capable of intercept WhatsApp chats, calls, steal data and send spam in different applications. Furthermore, malware has the ability to install other software without the user’s knowledge.
Cell phones Android affected by Trojan virus on WhatsApp
The four fake cell phones that are attacked by the Trojan virus in question are the following:
- P48pro
- Radmi Note 8 (counterfeit Xiaomi)
- Note30u (counterfeit Samsung)
- Mate40 (counterfeit Huawei)
In WhatsApp, the sequence virus attacks the security systems of the algorithm to access the system, and download and install additional plugins from a remote server on the device.
